# Synthesis

Synthesis is defined as spending UNC token under certain conditions to merge two ships which end up getting destroyed into one new ship. Parts of the two former/destroyed ships will be combined and a certain portion of parts will be passed down to the new ship. The new ship will be of a different rarity and attributes. Each synthesis is followed by a cooling-off period, which first lasts five days and is then prolonged as the rank of the ship increases.
